Miles and McKinlaigh won the West Coast World Cup Qualifier adding only 2 time
faults in Show Jumping for a score of 51.74. Jill Walton and Truly Triton (52.92)
moved from 3rd to 2nd on the strength of a double clear in the stadium. Jessica
Heidemann and French Twist (60.17) dropped to 3rd with 2 rails down. Anna Collier
and Leopold (61.95) finished 4th. After
Cross Country: Gina Miles and McKinlaigh (41.74) lead with a double clear XC;
Jessica Heidemanr with French Twist (52.17) is 2nd, also double clear; Jill Walton
on Truly Triton (52.92) is 3rd, with 4 time faults; and Lindsay Pozarycki riding
Holy Gallant (57.07) stands 4th. The over night leaders Amy Tryon and My Beau
(63.35) had a stop and 5.2 time for 8th place, while Amy on Poggio II (72.21)
had 30.8 time faults and are in 10th place. After
Dressage: Amy Tryon, of Duvall, WA stands 1st with My Beau (38.15) and 2nd with
Poggio II (41.41); Gina Miles is 3rd on McKinlaigh and Natalie Rooney is 4th riding

March 8, 2003, 3:55 PM: Jacqueline Mars 14 year old thoroughbred gelding The Native
died today at Red Hills at fence # 15, Windmill Pond, of what was initially termed
a "vascular anomaly." David O'Connor was unhurt in the fall. The Native
is a former winner of the Fair Hill International CCI***. Results are slow and
will follow when available. Friday,

Horse Winter II Horse Trials, Feb. 19, and III, 21-23, (posted Mar. 2, 2003):
Buck Davidson, riding Mystic Mike (37.5), and Darren Chiacchia, riding Windfall
(29.2), both finished on their dressage scores to win Advanced Divisions at Rocking
Horse. Each also won another Advanced Division - Buck with Otto (42.4) and Darren
with R G Renegade (33.5). Jessica
