September 28th, Show Jumping: Will Faudree and Antigua held on to their lead in
the Mandatory Outing for the Pan Am Games with a double clear Show Jumping round.
Ashley MacVaugh and All's Fair placed 2nd. Stephen Bradley riding Brandenburg's
Joshua finished 3rd. Saturday,
September 27th, Cross Country: Will Faudree and Antigua continue to lead. Stephen

Plantation
Field Horse Trials, September 20 and 21 After
a serious tussle with Hurricane Isabel and the transportation and electrical difficulties
left in her wake, Denis and Bambi Glaccum were able to start the Horse Trials,
in Unionville, PA at noon on Saturday with the following results: Phillip Dutton
(AUS) won the Championship Section on Hannigan, from Jan Thompson with Waterfront
and Stuart Black (CAN) on Fleecworks. Other Advanced winners were Phillip on Go
Easy and Gillian Clissold with Sportscar. Holly Hepp/I Spy, and Catherine O'Donnell/Urban
Legend won OI Sections. Kristin Schmolze/Surprise Party placed first in OI/YR.
Phillip/Red Hill, Susan Bourassa/ L'Cedric, and Jamie Striley/Ronaldo won OP sections.
Alex Zavoynia/True Blue and Sarah Hickie/Ciara led OP/YR sections. Please

Ireland IFG European Eventing Championships at Punchestown, Ireland September
17 -21, 2003 Sunday,
September 21, Show Jumping: Nicolas Touzaint (FRA) retained his overnight lead
with Galan de Sauvagere (35.00, 4 jumping) to take the Individual Gold Medal.
The Individual Silver went to Linda Algotsson (SWE) and Stand By Me (40.80, 0
jumping). Pippa Funnell (GBR) won the Individual Bronze riding Walk On Star (44.40,
0 jumping). Great Britain (147.60) won the Team Gold, from France (160.20), the
Team Silver Medal winners, and Belgium (196.00), who won the Team Bronze. Carl
Bouckaert, popular host at North Georgia, had the second highest score for Belgium
riding Welton Molecule (66.60, for 14th place). Belgium, Ireland and Austria
qualified for the Olympic Games, Athens, 2004. Saturday,
September 20, Cross Country: 23 year old Nicolas Touzaint (FRA) maintains his
lead with Galan de Sauvagere (34.00, 1.20 time). Linda Algotsson (SWE) is 2nd
with Stand By Me (40.80, 3.20 time). Karen Donckers (BEL) stands 3rd riding Gormley
(42.40, 6.80 time). Leslie Law (GBR), the only double clear, is 4th on Shear L'Eau
(43.20). Pippa Funnell is fifth with Walk On Star (44.40, 9.6 time). Pippa had
to take a longer, safer route to ensure a team finish for the Brits, after her
teammate, Jeanette Brakewell, had been eliminated. Great Britain (135.60) leads
the teams from France (152.20) and Belgium (176.00). Friday,
September 19, Second Day of Dressage: Nicolas Touzaint (FRA) with Galan de Sauvagere
(29.80) leads. Bettina Hoy (GER) and Ringwood Cockatoo (32.00) are 2nd. Susanna
Bordone (ITA) and Ava (33.80), the overnight leaders, are 3rd. Pippa Funnell,
the reigning European Champion, and Walk On Star (34.80) are 4th. Great Britain
(119.60) leads the teams from France (129.40) and Italy (133.20). Thursday,
September 18, First Day of Dressage: Susanna Bordone (ITA) leads with Ava (33.80).
Sasha Harrison (IRL) on All Love du Fenaud (39.80) is 2nd. Mary King (GBR) stands
3rd riding King Solomon III. Austria,
Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Sweden will challenge Great Britain,
the reigning European Team Gold Medalists. Individuals from Croatia, Denmark,
Greece, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands, will compete as well. |

Petplan CCI*** Sunday,
September 14, Show Jumping: Pippa Funnell won for the second week in a row, this
time riding Jurassic Rising (41.0). Pippa was also 3rd on Viceroy II (48.0).
Phillip Dutton (AUS), who finished on his Dressage score, placed 2nd with Nova
Top (45.6), bookended by Pippa. Phillip also placed 8th on Dusky Moon (52.8). Americans
in the top 20 included: 6th place, Karen O'Connor and Ballymar (49.8); 9th place,
Amy Tryon with My Beau (53.6); and 14th place, Jan Thompson riding Task Force. Saturday,
September 13, Cross Country: Pippa Funnell (GBR) leads riding Jurassic Rising
(37.0) from Darrell Scaife (GBR) on Chase The Melody (42.8) and Daisy Dick (GBR)
with Spring Along (44.0). Three
Americans are in the top 20: Amy Tryon on My Beau (DC-45.6) is 5th; Karen O'Connor
riding Ballymar (49.8) is 11th; and Jan Thompson with Task Force (DC-52.8) is
20th. Australia's
Phillip Dutton rode two double clears Cross Country to place 6th with Nova Top
(45.6) and 9th with Dusky Moon (48.8). Thursday,
September 11th and Friday, September 12, Dressage: Amelie Billard (FRA) riding
Derby de Longueval (33.6) leads after Dressage, from Pippa Funnell (GBR) with
Jurassic Rising (37.0), and William Fox-Pitt on Wallow (37.6). Marcia
Kulak with Horton Who (43.2) is the highest placed American in 9th. Amy Tryon
and My Beau (45.6) are tied with Phillip Dutton (AUS) on Nova Top (45.6) for 12th.

the Burghley CCI**** with Primmore's Pride. Zara Phillips (GBR) places 2nd. Andrew
Nicholson (NZL) and Lord Killinghurst are 3rd. John Williams (USA) and Carrick
finish 4th. The
USET won the US-UK Challenge Sponsored by Mountain Horse. John Williams, Bruce

Am Games and qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Mexico (21.81
