WOFFORD TO GIVE INFORMATIVE SADDLE PRESENTATION AT ROLEX KENTUCKY THREE-DAY EVENT

Oxford, Penn. – For a three-day eventing enthusiast, nothing says “Mecca” quite like the Trade Fair at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event. Taking advantage of this highly-charged atmosphere, Nunn Finer has invited legendary three-day event rider and current Canadian team coach Jimmy Wofford to the Bit of Britain booth to speak about his “Wofford Cross-Country Classic” saddle.

Wofford will make a 30-minute presentation at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23, following the dressage phase of the three-day event. He will present his saddle and speak about cross-country riding, and will address specific fences that riders will tackle on Saturday and how an appropriately designed saddle will aid them in their efforts to succeed.

2003 Eventing World Cup Bronze Medallist Gina Miles, who will be riding at Rolex and who uses a Wofford Cross-Country Classic saddle, will be present to provide her assessment of the saddle, and to sign posters.

According to Wofford, “in order to gallop steeplechase and cross-country at the correct length of stirrup, you need a saddle with a shorter skirt and more forward flap that allows your leg to stay in contact with the horse’s side.”

The saddle, a modified replica of Jimmy Wofford’s legendary custom cross-country saddle, was introduced to the market last autumn. John Nunn, of Nunn Finer, teamed up with Wofford to develop the Wofford Cross-Country Classic saddle. It is hand-crafted by European master saddlers Hampson & Scott.

Nunn Finer Products will be well represented at this large trade fair through many of its distributors like Wise Choice Saddlery, Bob Mickler’s and Bit of Britain.

There is no charge to attend the presentation. Seating will be limited so it is advisable to arrive early.
