spite of a serious attack by the dreaded Hurricane Ivan, the Plantation
Field Horse Trials continued. Organizer
Denis Glaccum siid, "As bad as Saturday was, and it was horrendous, Sunday
was that beautuful. We were able to run for the people who needed a run and they
were appreciative. That land drains well and the rain soaks in. The footing was
as good as you can get it.

Cousins won the Advanced riding Troy. She also placed second at that level with
Buzzby and fourth riding Tell Me Why. Dorothy
Crowell made the ten and a half hour trip from Lexington, KY, a worthwhile one
as she won the Open Intermediate Section with El Guapo. Cousins placed second
with Top Deck. (Dorothy and El Guapo are pictured at the right jumping the
fence in the water at the Kentucky Classic, earlier in September.). For
