Place Farm February Horse Trials 
Olympic
Individual Silver Medalist and US Equestrian Federation Equestrian of the Year
for 2004, Kim Severson started her 2005 Eventing season by winning the Open Intermediate
Section from 21 other entrants, at the Poplar Place Farm February Horse Trials,
at Hamilton, Georgia, riding Maguire. Maguire won the Dressage
on 29.5, Show Jumped double clear, and collected 5.2 time faults on the Cross
Country for a final score of 34.7. Maguire was one of Kim's horses who had been
Short Listed for the 2004 Olympic Games, in Athens, Greece. Kim rode Winsome Adante
at the Games. (Kim and Maguire are pictured at the right in the Dressage phase
at the Virginia Horse Trials, in 2004.) Buck Davidson finished second
with Hyperlite on 37.7, while Jessica Moore placed third on a score of 37.9. Megan
McGregor rode NZ Zip (40.2) to win the Young Rider Open Intermediate Beter
Barry with Duke of Somerset (44.0) and Mike Winter, riding Wonderful Will (34.5)
each won a Section of Open Preliminary. Jimmie
Holotik with Ides of March (32.0), Kim Severson on St. Paddy (30.0), and Kim on
Midas (30.5) each won one of the three Open Training Sections. For

Days in Aiken Horse Trials
Becky
Holder, an escapee from the Minnesota winter, won Section "B" of the
Intermediate Preliminary at the Sporting Days in Aiken (South Carolina) Horse
Trials on a score of 34.6 - 22 starters. Becky and Courageous Comet are pictured
at the left in the Dressage phase at the Maui Jim Wayne Horse Trials, in 2004.)

McKechnie won Intermediate Preliminary, Section "A" with Clifton Gree
(41.5) - 6 starters. Becky
Holder also won Division 1 of the Open Preliminary "B", riding Glorious
Joy with a score of 31.5. - 17 starters. Heidi
White and Tarkaari (44.5) won Open Preliminary "A" - 12 starters Julia
Steinberg placed first in Open Preliminary "B", Division 2, riding Mr.

13 and 14, 2005, at Temecula, California, riding Quinto 10 (56.0) from 9 other
