Friday,
September 30 - The Second Day of Dressage
Advanced
Division II
Nineteen
Advanced competitors completed their Dressage on Friday, at the Morven Park CCI*
and Advanced Horse Trials.
Once
again America's favorite Australian Phillip Dutton led the pack, this time
with
R. Bruce Duchossois' Hannigan, on a score of 32.5.

Darren
Chiacchia claimed
the second spot with Claremunt Dannis et al's chestnut mare Huronia. Huronia is
new to the Advanced level and was sometimes distracted by the men working nearby
with a genetator and a nailing gun. (Can you blame her?) It was more or less a
case of when she was good she was very, very good; but when she was bad
- - - , well you know the rest. Darren persevered and Huronia scored 37.5,
5 faults adrift of the far more experienced leaders. (Darren and Huronia are
pictured at the left below.)
Buck
Davidson rode Idalgo to a tie for third place with Sara Davis and Dexter Wong.
Both pairs scored 38.3.
