John Williams to Design Courses at Pine Top
John Williams - New Course Designer at Pine Top

Georgia's Pine Top Farm, host of the biggest advanced entry in the U.S. each March, is pleased to announce that Olympic medalist John Williams is now designing the upper level courses. (John is pictured at the right belowat a ceremony honoring the Athens Olympic Games Bronze Medal Team at the American Eventing Championships, 2004.)

Beginning with the March 4-5 advanced event, the courses will have new tracks and a new start box and new finish line. Existing jumps are being refurbished, and new jumps are being built. It will mark the most extensive course changes at Pine Top since the advanced course was built ten years ago.

Pine Top's cross country will retain its unique flavor with its wonderful home-grown treated logs, excellent footing and terrain, extensive use of portable jumps for frequent course changes, and its coexistence as a working cattle farm.

Organizers Janet and Glenn Wilson are very pleased to have John on their team, and they wish to thank Ritch Temple for the excellent designing he did for Pine Top in 1991-1996 and in 2000-2004.
