Dressage and Show Jumping

The eventingetc snowbirds were mighty glad to be at their first competition of the 2006 season and to be welcomed by Glenn Wilson and his specially arranged Georgia sunshine and cloudless skies.

Sixty-eight Advanced (and Advanced Intermediate) horses completed their Dressage and Show Jumping on Saturday in five Sections.

Mara Dean and Phillip Dutton both had great days. Each of them leads in two Sections - Mara for the home team with Nicki Henley and Good Stuff, (Mara and Nicki Henley are pictured at the right in the Dressage Phase.) Phillip for Australia with House Doctor and Hannigan. (Phillip and House Doctor are pictured at the left below in the Dressage Phase.) Will Faudree took care of the fifth Section - the A/I with his own Antuigua.

Your Editor commented to Mara, "You've been working hard over the winter." Mara answered, "I have been working hard. It's nice to know it shows!"

Sunday's Cross Country starts at 9:00 AM with the Advanced Test C horses.
