About Us
Blenheim International, Sunday September 3rd
Show Jumping Day

Daisy Dick, fresh from her Team Silver Medal placing at the WEG , in Aachen last Sunday, won the Blenheim CCI***, this Sunday, on the strength of a double clear Show Jumping round with Springbok IV.

Daisy is the daughter of a well known steeplechase rider and trainer. She was once famously (or infamously) referred to as "Samantha Clippity-Clop" by New Zealand's Blyth Tait, who wanted to run two or three horses an event and was turned down in order that young riders like the then unknown Daisy Dick could have runs. How times have changed! (Daisy and Spring Along are pictured at the right at the World Equestrian Games last Sunday.

Earlier this year Springbok IV finished third at Gatcombe Park in the Advanced 1; 3rd in the OI at Wilton: and 3rd in the OI at Tweseldown (3) all while ridden by Daisy..

Pippa Funnell and Ensign, who had led throughout, pulled one rail in the stadium to drop to second place on 49.2.

William Fox-Pitt claimed the third spot with Parkmore Ed, owned by American Philip Adkins.

Only six of the forty-seven competitors who completed, Show Jumped without faults. Amy Tryon's double clear with Le Samurai moved this pair from eleventh after Cross Country to fifth over all. Just a week earlier, in Aachen, another double clear in the Show Jumping phase, this time with Poggio II, had moved her from seventh into the Bronze Medal position at the World Equestrian Games.

Bonnie Mosser and Close The Deal had one rail down for four faults, good for a move from twenty-sixth to thirteenth.

Jennifer Wooten, who had her trials and tribulations on the Cross Country on Saturday with The Good Witch, had only one rail Show Jumping and finished in forty-sixth place.
