British Eventing Championship at Gatcombe Park
Saturday, August 5 and Sunday Ausust 6

The six Americans expected to be named to the final Squad for the World Equestrian Games to be held in Aachen, Germany beginning two weeks from Wednesday used the British Eventing Championship as a final competition before the WEG.

Two Americans, Kim Severson with Winsome Adante Kim and Winsome Adante are pictured at the right at the Mandatory Outing in mid-July.) and Jan Thompson riding Task Force (Jan and Task Force are pictured at the left below at the Mandatory Outing in mid-July.) finished the Dressage Phase in the top ten. The other four Americans, Amy Tryon, Heidi White, Bonnie Mosser and Will Faudree, finished in the top third of the sixty- two competitors.

Members of the British, Australian and New Zealand Squads also competed in the British Eventing Championship. Two Brits, Mary King with Call Again Cavalier and William Fox-Pitt on Tamarillo, also finished in the top ten after Dressage. Their scores as well as the scores of others headed to the WEG can be seen below designated by their country indicated after their names.
