There
was a huge to do at the Press Conference regarding the fact that a German
Steward thought that Laurens Van Lieren (NED) was wearing a PRIVATE SPONSOR'S
LOGO. Only a TEAM SPONSOR'S LOGO is allowed. Laurens was sent back
to the stable to change his saddle pad and missed 15 minutes of his warm up time
hence (probably) effecting his score. It transpired that the saddle pad he had
been wearing WAS the logo of a TEAM SPONSOR. The bottom line is that the
whole fracas was caused by the Steward's mistake. |
