Friday,
June, 1 - The Second Day of Dressage

It
was 95 degrees on Thursday and 92 degrees on Friday when your reporter left the
Horse Park of New Jersey after the Dressage and, that's right, it felt hotter
on Friday than it had on Thursday - the humidity, my
friends!
- the humidity!
Fifty-one
competitors from the CCI** did their Dressage on Friday and, when all was said
and done, William Coleman III lead with Ret Mercury on a score of 46.4. (Will
and Ret Mercury are pictured at the right.)
Stuart
Black rode Fleeceworks Mystere du Val to second place on a score of 47.2. Interestingly,
Mara Dean, the overnight leader from the CCI*** Division, helps Stuart with his
Dressage. (Stuart and Fleeceworks Mystere du Val are pictured at the left below.)
Clark
Montgomery and
Up
Spirit stand in third place on a score of 47.6.
For
the first time in recent memory, in this country the top three places are occupied
by men and men hold six of the top ten slots after Dressage.
The
correct schedule for Saturday is as follows:
8:30
AM - CCI**, first horse on Cross Country.
11:30
AM - CCI***, first horse on Cross Country
2:30 PM - Advanced
Horse Trial. first horse on Cross Country
Please
do not believe any other schedule, including the Jersey Fresh web site.
