The
Plantation Field Horse Trials, in Unionville, PA, which began on Saturday, April
14th, were threatened with widely predicted heavy rain for the second day of competition,
Sunday, April 15. Wisely,
Organizer Denis Glaccum and the competitors agreed together and cooperated to
run the entire competition in one day, the Saturday. Each competitor ran Cross
Country 10 minutes after they had completed their Show Jumping. Thus
the predicted heavy Sunday, rain which did arrive on schedule, claimed no victims
as thecompetition had been completed in one day.
