Wednesday, October 17

Sixty-six horses trotted up before the Ground Jury (Donald M. Lee (IRE), Christian Landolt (GBR) and Marilyn Payne (USA)) at the First Veterinary Inspection at Fair Hill International starting at 2:00 PM.

All sixty-six passed though one - Diana Burnett's Manny, was sent to holding and was passed upon re-inspection. (Ronald Zabala-Goetschel, of Ecuador and Che Mr. Wiseguy are pictured at the right.)

Karen O'Connor presented four - Upstage (Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson), Allstar (Rebecca Broussard), Mandiba (Joan Goswell) and Hugh Knows (Mrs. Jacqueline Mars).

Phillip Dutton presented three - Woodburn (Acorn Hill Farm), Match Play II (August Vettorino) and The Foreman (Mrs. Anne Jones).

Among those presenting two were Boyd Martin (AUS), Donna Smith (NZL), and Bonnie Mosser (USA).

Canada had the largest non-Americam contingent with eight; Australia was second with two and New Zealand, Ireland, Great Britain, Ecuador, Mexico and The Netherlands each had one competitor. (Becky Holder and Courageous Comet are pictured at the left.)
